DJ Mustard accuses Drake of sabotaging sales for his new album.
Following the release of his album “Faith Of A Mustard Seed”, which sold only 18,000 copies in its first week, Mustard expressed frustration over the album’s lackluster performance. On Saturday, DJ Mustard took to X to post scathing tweets aimed at DJ Akademiks and Drake. In his tweets, he referred to Drake as the “Malcolm X of white people” and accused DJ Akademiks, who reported the first-week sales, of being a racist. DJ Akademiks later revealed that Mustard alleged Drake influenced Gordo to release his album, “Diamante”, to hinder Mustard’s sales. According to Akademiks, Mustard said, said, “that n*gga Drake is doing sh*t behind the scenes… f*cking with people… that’s why I know what Yachty is saying is cap…”. Given that Mustard produced Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” a diss track aimed at Drake, this claim isn’t entirely far-fetched. However, fans have taken to social media to troll DJ Mustard.
Mustard told Akademiks he believes that Drake told Gordo to drop his album the same day as his on purpose, because of the Kendrick beef
