Afrobeats stars, Davido and Kizz Daniel have shared some of the best musical connection with Kizz Daniel, collaborating on hit songs like “One Ticket” and the newly released “Twe Twe” remix. Davido has now hinted in a joint album with Kizz, which will reportedly come after his upcoming album. Whist there is no concise date or information about any of the projects, fans have expressed great joy about two potential albums in the works from Davido.

Wizkid’s “Essence” with Tems goes 4x platinum in the United States.
Global record, “Essence” off Wizkid’s 2020 album, “Made in Lagos” has gone on to be one of the biggest record from the Afrobeats genre. The song became the first Nigerian record to chart in the top ten of the US Billboard top 100, whilst also clinching a Grammy nomination. The collaboration with Tems which also attracted a remix with Justin Bieber, has just been certified RIAA 4x platinum for the sale of four million copies in the region. It is one of Africa’s most certified records of all times.

Drake comments on potentially releasing new music very soon.
Last year, Canadian rapper, Drake announced via his radio show that he would be taking a year’s break from music to focus on his health after revealing that he had been battling stomach problems for years. In a new interview, the rapper who is presently on his “It’s all a blur” tour, has noted that he is right back up and on the road again, as it is hard to stay away from the fans. He in fact teased that he might as well make new music whilst on tour.

Ariana Grande set to feature Mariah Carey on her “Yes, and?” remix.
American pop star, Ariana Grande has just announced that she will be releasing a remix of her new single, “Yes, and?”, featuring vocal legend, Mariah Carey. Ariana, whose last release was in 2021, posted a photo of her and Mariah on social media, with the caption “I cannot believe the words I am typing… Yes, and? remix feat the one and only, queen of my heart and lifelong inspiration @mariahcarey”. The remix will be released on February 16.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” smashes record for most watched trailer in a day.
Ahead of the release of acclaimed Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool & Wolverine”, the first official trailer has just broken the all time record for the most viewed trailer in a single day. The trailer, which first aired during the Super Bowl, received over 365 million views online, beating Marvel’s “Spider-Man: No away Home” who held the record with 355 million views. Hugh Jackman will join Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Garner and other stars for the highly anticipated film.
