The highly coveted 17th edition of the Headies awards is set to return to Nigeria. After two years of successfully hosting the show in the United States, the award organizers have decided to bring it back to Nigeria after clamours from Nigerians posed at the absurdity of hosting the award outside the country. With the accrued sponsorships over the last years of being hosted in America, music lovers are hopeful that this will in fact propel immense improvement in the award’s organization.

Kanye West releases new song, “Talkin” with North West and TY Dolla $ign.
Ahead of Kanye West’s upcoming joint album with TY Dolla Sign, “Vultures”, they have just released a song with Ye’s daughter, North West. The single, “Talkin/ Once Again” is predicted to be make the album. North has been the major talking point since the release, with many fans applauding her “It’s your bestie, Miss Miss Westie” bars. Whilst Kanye’s contribution to the song is minimal, TY Dolla $ign holds off the second part of the 3-plus minute song.

Hollywood stars, Dave Bautista and Samuel. L Jackson are set to star in post-apocalyptic adventurous thriller, “Afterburn”. The film, which is set 10 years after a solar flare completely destroys technology around the globe, is an adaptation from the Red 5 comic series, “Afterburn”. Bautista will play the ex-soldier, Jake, who is a treasure hunter helping clients recover valuables from the old world and Samuel Jackson will play Valentine, the freedom fighter.

Gina Carano to sue Disney and Lucasfilm for wrongful termination.
Former MMA fighter and actress, Gina Carano will reportedly sue Disney and Lucasfilm for discrimination and wrongful termination after being sacked from Disney+ show, The Mandalorian. In 2021, fans and critics demanded her dismissal from the show due to cryptic social media posts where she compared being a “Republican” to “Jews during the Holocaust”. The lawsuit is reportedly being funded by X (Twitter) CEO, Elon Musk and the actress is demanding $75,000 for damages, whilst also demanding that she be re-casted to the show.
