Beyoncé’s album to become the highest first week of sales so far in 2024.

American singer, Beyoncé released her new album, “Cowboy Carter” last week and since, the album has received great reviews from fans and critics. It is now predicted to debut at number one on the Billboard top 200 albums. With an increased 418k units (170k pure sales and over 300m streams), it records the biggest first week units sold of any album released this year. Although this album as been regarded as the “Beyoncé’” album, fans have praised her for having a perfect country project.

Ckay’s “By Now” debuts at global Shazam chart after two years of release.

Nigerian star, Ckay’s 2022 released song, “By Now” has been one of the biggest trending hits on TikTok, with many users creating dance moves to the emo-single. The song has now entered the top 200 of the Global Shazam chart at number 195. This has immediately raised fan’s’ expectations about the song following the trajectory of Ckay’s 2019 song, “Love Nwantiti” which blew globally in 2021 and has now become Africa’s most successful song in the United States with an 8x RIAA certification.

Victony has just disclosed the name of his upcoming project.

After the success of his “Outlaw” project, Victony is set to release a new studio album. His new single, “Everything” is presently one of the biggest songs in the country, breaking into the top ten on Apple Music Nigeria chart. The singer took to his X account yesterday to share a new update on his upcoming project. With a Black & White photo of him beside the statue of a knight on a horse, he disclosed that his new album will be called, “Stubborn”. This is presently the only information available in regards to the new project but more updates will be revealed in coming days.

Krept & Konan’s hit collaboration with Wizkid goes Gold in the UK.

Wizkid continues to make a huge impact as one of the most certified Nigerian artists globally. His hit collaboration with UK rap duo ,Krept & Konan, “G Love” has just been certified gold in the United Kingdom for selling over 400,000 units within the region. Wizkid is currently the second most certified African artists in the UK, only behind fellow Nigerian star, Burna Boy. Fans have since taken to social media to express their love for the collaboration.

Bryson Tiller’s new album aiming for a top 15 Billboard debut.

American singer and songwriter, Bryson Tiller released his new self-titled album, his first full length release in over four years. This 19-track album features appearances from Victoria Monét and Clara La San. On the new album, Tiller says it will let the masses hear what he is capable of, has amassed great success since its release on April 5. The project is now predicted to make a top 15 debut on Billboard top 200 albums chart, with a 35-40k first week sale.
