Batman becomes the first superhero to get a Hollywood walk of fame star.

Popular fictional superhero, Batman has officially become the first superhero to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, cementing his status in pop culture. Unveiled on September 26, the star is located at Hollywood and Highland, outside the Guinness World Records Museum. Idris Elba to star in the adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart.

A TV adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s classic novel Things Fall Apart is in development at A24 Studios, with Idris Elba set to star and executive produce. According to Variety, Elba is teaming up with David Oyelowo to produce the series, though a writer has not yet been attached. Elba will co-executive produce through his 22Summers production banner alongside Gina Carter. Oyelowo and Amanda N’Duka will also executive produce via Yoruba Saxon, with additional producers including Ben Forkner, Dayo Ogunyemi, and Achebe Masterworks. Elba, recently nominated for an Emmy for his role in Hijack, is known for his performances in Beasts of No Nation and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. Oyelowo’s Yoruba Saxon recently produced Lawmen: Bass Reeves for Paramount+, and is also working on the upcoming Apple TV+ series Government Cheese.
