Former France goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris has just signed a permanent deal with the prominent American team, Los Angeles FC. This momentous move comes months after his departure from Tottenham Hotspur, following a remarkable 11 year long career in the Premier League. With this contract, the 2018 World Cup winner has committed himself to Los Angeles FC until 2024, with the possibility of further extensions until 2025 and 2026. Until his visa is settled, he will take up the international roster spot for the team.

Nigerian Super Eagles release 25-man squad ahead of 2023 AFCON.
Ahead of the highly coveted 2023 African Cup of Nations tournament, the Super Eagles have released its 25-man squad list for the competition. The list include in-form players like Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, Victor Boniface and Ademola Lookman. The squad includes three goalkeepers, nine defenders, five midfielders and eight strikers. Nigeria has been identified as one of the favourites to win the competition, with buzzing young players across Europe and the Nigerian Professional Football League. Former Manchester United defender, Eric Bailly has made a significant return to La Liga, re-signing for Villarreal as a free agent after being released by Turkish side, Besiktas. During his first stint at Villarreal, the Ivory Coast international player established himself as one of the best defenders in the Spanish league, helping the team secure a fourth place finish in the 2015/2016 season and a UEFA Europa League semi final finish. With Villarreal currently 13th in the La Liga standing, Eric Bailly will be looking to leave an imprint and help the team improve.

The unarguable Premier League playmaking king, Kevin De Bruyne was an unused substitutes in Manchester City’s 2-0 win against Sheffield United on Saturday. The Belgian was forced out with a major hamstring injury during Manchester City’s opening day fixture against newly promoted side, Burnley, missing 27 games. Although unused, De Bruyne received a standing ovation from the fans while warming up mid-match. Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola however noted that De Bruyne will be fit enough to feature in the next PL fixture against Newcastle United on January 13.

Tottenham set to offer €40 million bid for Chelsea midfielder.
After a promising start to the season, Tottenham has witnessed a huge decline in results over the last months due to the recurring injuries that has ravaged the team. Ahead of the January transfer window, Tottenham is set to enforce Postecoglou’s team and with the team’s midfield currently depleted, sources have reported that the North London side are in talks to sign Chelsea’s midfielder, Conor Gallagher in a €40 million deal, with agreement imminent.
