Exclusive news within the entertainment scene

Sarkodie clears the air about recent beefs with Nigerian rappers.

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie prompted a Ghana-Nigeria rap diss after name dropping Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido on his new song, “Brag”. Former DMW rapper, Dremo was the first to react to this song, releasing multiple diss tracks aimed at Sarkodie and other Ghanaian rappers. Other rappers from both countries including Lyrical Joe, Medikal, BarryLane and Chinko Ekun also fell in line, expanding the feud. Sarkodie, who has been quiet all through this saga, has in a new interview with VAX Africa, clarified that name-dropping the big Nigerian artists was never aimed at disrespecting them but to show African rappers how long he had been in the game. Hopefully, this ends the saga and inspires these rappers to work together in propagating African rap culture.
