New Rush Hour part 4 reportedly being pitched to various studios.

The acclaimed Rush Hour franchise is reportedly pitching a potential part 4 to various studios, but the project faces significant challenges due to the involvement of Brett Ratner, who directed the first three films in the franchise. Ratner has been largely absent from Hollywood since 2017, following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment. Although he denies the accusations and no formal charges were filed, several major studios, including Paramount and Sony, have passed on the project due to his potential involvement. Warner Bros.’ New Line Cinema, which distributed the original Rush Hour films, has allowed the rights to be licensed elsewhere. Tarak Ben Ammar currently holds the rights through his Eagle Pictures banner and is seeking partners for production, with Arthur Sarkissian attached as a producer. However, Ben Ammar’s representatives have denied Ratner’s direct involvement in the potential Rush Hour 4.

Shang-Chi reportedly meant to be one of the leads in Marvel’s Avengers 5 vision.

Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) may have significantly impacted future storylines, overshadowing the drama surrounding Jonathan Majors. One major casualty of these changes is the character Shang-Chi, who was initially set to play a key role in the fifth Avengers film, originally titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Following Jonathan Majors’ departure and the scrapping of the Kang storyline, the film has been renamed Avengers: Doomsday, with Doctor Doom now set as the main villain. This shift has cast doubt on Shang-Chi’s involvement in the film. While speculations suggest Simu Liu could still reprise his role, Marvel has not provided any official updates on Shang-Chi’s future in the MCU. Liu, however, remains hopeful that Shang-Chi could return in a sequel.
