South African singer, Tyla has confirmed in a new interview with Billboard that her second album will be released in 2025, following the success of her self-titled debut album, Tyla, which dropped on March 22, 2024. The album introduced her signature fusion of pop and Amapiano, which she calls “Popiano,” and featured collaborations with artists like Tems. Building on that momentum, Tyla released a deluxe edition, Tyla +, in October 2024, adding three new tracks. One standout song, “Push 2 Start”, was showcased during her performance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, where she won Best Afrobeats Video for Water. Though details about her sophomore album, including its title and track list, remain undisclosed, fans eagerly await its release. Known for her genre-blending style and dynamic performances, Tyla’s next project is expected to further cement her status in the global music scene and push the boundaries of her unique sound.

HBO’s House of the Dragon Season 3 reportedly commences filming.
Filming for House of the Dragon Season 3 has reportedly begun in the United Kingdom, less than a year after Season 2 concluded. Fans have eagerly awaited updates, and the latest reports confirm that principal photography is underway at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Watford, Hertfordshire. Massive sets have already been constructed, with recent images showcasing the production’s progress. Filming is expected to continue until October, followed by an extensive post-production phase, setting the stage for a 2026 premiere on HBO. Davido to continue 5ive rollout with exclusive performances across US & Europe.
Afrobeats superstar, Davido is preparing to release his fifth studio album, 5ive, and has announced a series of exclusive performances leading up to its debut. Dubbed Davido Presents 5ive Stops, the tour will begin in the U.S. with shows at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles on April 5, Bowery Ballroom in New York on April 7, and Terminal West in Atlanta on April 10. He will then head to Europe, performing at La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris on April 15 and Exhibition in London on April 17. Tickets go on sale on March 28 at 10 a.m. local time. 5ive is set to drop on April 18, featuring singles such as “Awuke” with YG Marley, “Funds” with Odumodublvck and Chike, and his latest release, ‘Be There Still’. Tina Knowles to receive Mother of the Year at the Billboard’s Women in Music event.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles is set to receive a special honour at the 2025 Billboard Women In Music event, where she will be named Mother of the Year. At 71, Knowles becomes the first woman to receive this recognition at the annual ceremony, which celebrates influential female figures in the music industry. The award coincides with the upcoming release of her memoir, Matriarch, scheduled for next month. Following the event, Knowles will embark on a book tour, An Evening with Tina Knowles, Family, and Friends, featuring special guests such as Michelle Obama, Kelly Rowland, Keke Palmer, and Tyler Perry across nine global cities. Other honourees at the prestigious event include Doechii, GloRilla, Tyla, Muni Long, and Erykah Badu.
