Pop band, The Jonas Brothers are reuniting with Disney for a Christmas comedy film set to release during the 2025 holiday season. The film follows Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas as they navigate a series of escalating obstacles while trying to travel from London to New York in time for Christmas with their families. Directed by Oscar winner Jessica Yu (Quiz Lady, This Is Us), the movie is produced by Disney Branded Television and 20th Television. Writers-producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger (Love, Simon) are also involved, with Grammy-nominated Justin Tranter serving as executive music producer and writing original songs. The Jonas Brothers have a long-standing history with Disney, having starred in Camp Rock and their own Disney Channel series Jonas. After a six-year hiatus, they reunited in 2019 with Sucker, their first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit. Fans have taken to social media to express their excitement about the coming movie.

Pop singer, Bruno Mars has made history as the first artist to surpass 150 million monthly listeners on Spotify. The global superstar achieved this milestone following the release of “Die With a Smile” with Lady Gaga and his guest feature on Rose’s “APT”. These mark his first releases since his Grammy-winning 2021 collaboration with Anderson .Paak, An Evening With Silk Sonic. Mars previously broke The Weeknd’s record of 120 million monthly listeners, surpassing the Canadian singer, who was also the first to hit 100 million. With over 36 billion Spotify streams and 14 songs exceeding a billion plays, Mars is closing in on Drake’s record of 16. A dominant force in global pop, Mars has sold millions of records and is one of the most commercially successful artists of the 21st century. He has also won 15 Grammys from 31 nominations, cementing his legacy as one of the Recording Academy’s most awarded stars.

Riverdale actor, Mark Consuelos joins the cast for the upcoming Scream 7.

Headies’ 17th edition to be held in April, with another edition in December.
The 17th Headies Awards will take place on April 5, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria, marking the prestigious event’s return to the country after two years abroad. Headies Executive Producer Ayo Animashaun announced the date on January 28, revealing that activities for the awards will begin in March. In a historic move, the Headies will hold two editions in 2025, with the 18th set for December. Animashaun explained that the 17th edition was originally planned for 2024 but was postponed. To maintain the awards’ annual calendar, a second ceremony will be held later in the year. The nomination window for the 17th edition spans April 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024, while the 18th will cover the latter half of 2024 and most of 2025. The host and venue for the 17th edition remain undisclosed, but its return is a major boost for Nigeria’s music industry.
