Banky W discloses defeating cancer again for the fourth time.
Nigerian musician and politician, Banky W has announced a successful surgery after a long battle with cancer. Earlier in 2017, the Empire Mates Entertainment CEO took to his Instagram to disclose that he was battling this health condition and had undergone three surgeries already. Seven years later, Banky W has announced beating cancer again for the fourth time after another successful surgery. Posting a post-surgery video with his wife, Adesua Etomi, he wrote, “Christ 4 – Cancer Tumour 0.” Many Nigerians have taken to social media to express their immense joy over Banky W’s recovery.

Chelsea Manalo makes history after being crowned Miss Universe Philippines.
Filipino American model, Chelsea Manalo was crowned the Miss Universe Philippines on Wednesday, making history as the first black woman to win this title. In the competition which was held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay, and she defeated 52 other contestants. Asked how she intends to use her beauty to empower other people, Manalo said, “As a woman of colour, I have always faced challenges in my life. I was told that beauty has standards… because of these, I am already influencing a lot of women who are facing me right now.” Many social media users have since celebrated her for being a figure for shattering the traditional beauty standards in the country.

However, Drake looks to be making a new fuss with his appearance on Sexxy Red’s new song, “U My Everything”. The Canadian rapper trolled the accusations lobbed at him for having cosmetic surgery, rapping over Metro Boomin’s “BBL Drizzy” beat on Sexxy Red’s song. While some fans have welcomed this style of trolling the narrative, others have expressed their dislike for Drake’s cameo.
