Zack Snyder to direct a new Netflix action thriller set inside the LAPD.
Acclaimed filmmaker, Zack Snyder will direct a new Netflix action film focused on the Los Angeles Police Department. Co-written with frequent collaborator Kurt Johnstad (“300,” “Atomic Blonde”), the untitled project is in early development. Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, and Wesley Coller will produce through their company, Stone Quarry. The film’s logline describes an elite LAPD unit navigating the clash between law and morality in high-stakes situations. “Years ago, Dan Lin and I discussed crafting a visceral, character-driven story within the intense world of the LAPD,” Snyder shared. “That idea stayed with me, and I’m thrilled to collaborate with Dan and Netflix to bring it to life.” This project continues Snyder’s partnership with Netflix, following the Rebel Moon duology and Army of the Dead franchise, further solidifying Stone Quarry’s creative collaboration with the platform.
