Eilish has eight tracks in Spotify’s Billions Club, with songs like “Lovely” (2.8 billion streams), “Bad Guy” (2.5 billion), and “When the Party’s Over” (1.8 billion) among them. Michaela Coel set to produce and star in a new series, First Day on Earth.
British star, Michaela Coel is set to return to television with a new series titled First Day on Earth, which she has described as a “very personal” project. The creator and star of the award-winning I May Destroy You is once again collaborating with the BBC, HBO, and A24 on this project. Coel will portray Henri, a British novelist facing both personal and professional challenges. The story follows Henri as she takes a job in Ghana, her parents’ homeland, leading her on an unexpected journey filled with new friendships, family issues, and shattered illusions. The series, which Coel describes as “another very personal story,” will be a 10-part drama. Succession’s Jesse Armstrong joins as an executive producer, alongside Coel and others. Filming for the series is scheduled to begin next year.
