Davido announces date for his North American tour with guest artists.

Afrobeats star, Davido is enjoying one of the biggest era for any Nigerian artist. His recent album, “Timeless” has enjoyed great success across all spheres including award recognition and streaming numbers. After sold out shows in Canada and Spain, Davido has just announced the continuation of his North American Timeless Tour which will kick off in New York on April 17 and through Orlando and Montreal. French singer, Tayc, Ding Dong Ravers and YouTuber, Tony Mix are set to be guest artistes for the tour.

André 3000 reveals missing the rap game, might drop a rap album.

Acclaimed rapper, André 3000 surprised global music lovers last year, releasing an experimental 87 minute instrumental album, “New Blue Sun” and adding that he was feeling too old to rap. This claim garnered a lot of reactions, including from rap heads like Lil Wayne. In new interview, André has however admitted to missing the rap game and did not rule out releasing a full-fledged rap album. According to him, it would be an “awesome challenge” to complete a new album.

Korede Bello set to release his new 26-tack studio album, “Koreday”.

After two studio projects, former Mavin records star, Korede Bello is set to release a new studio album, “Koreday”. The project, which is set to include 26 songs will be officially released on March 22. Korede Bello has been quiet in the music industry since leaving his former label and fans are excited about the prospect of this new album to again push him to the forefront of the mainstream music scene.

Cardi B releases her first single of the year, “Like What (freestyle)”.

American rapper, Cardi B has just released her first song of the year, “Like What (Freestyle)” which samples Missy Elliot’s hit song, “She’s a Bitch” off her 1999 album, Da Real World. This release is accompanied by the official video which was directed by her husband, Offset. In an interview with Ebro on Hot ‘97, the rapper announced that her sophomore album will also be released very soon.

Mr. Eazi splashes investment on a music marketing start-up, “Un:hurd”.

Nigerian artist and businessman, Mr. Eazi is one of the biggest investors of the African entertainment industry. With his record label, emPawa, stars like Joeboy and Fave and Joeboy have been given a platform to show their talent. The business mogul has just invested in growing music marketing start-up, “Un:hurd”. The start-up has already built a decent reputation and base, with over 70,000 artists already signed up to the platform. This move will further help African artists market their art and reach a wider audience.
