Tems to become the first female African artist to headline AfroNation Festival.
Afro Nation is going all out for its fifth-anniversary edition in 2025, with African music giants Tems and Burna Boy headlining the festival. Burna Boy, a festival staple since its debut in 2019, will once again take the stage, while Tems will make her Afro Nation Portugal headliner debut. The “Free Mind” singer, fresh off her acclaimed album Born in the Wild, is at the forefront of a new wave of African artists bringing their music to the global stage. Notably, Tems will be the first female African headliner in the festival’s history. Since its launch on the beaches of Portimão in 2019, Afro Nation has grown from a festival to a cultural movement, featuring past headliners like Wizkid, Davido, and Megan Thee Stallion, who have helped bridge the gap between African music and the global mainstream.
