Kehlani releases the tracklist for her upcoming studio album, “Crash”.

American RnB star, Kehlani is on the verge of releasing a new studio album, “Crash”. The upcoming project is her first full album since the 2022-released “Blue Water Road”. After her two-year hiatus, the “Nights Like This” singer released a new single, “After Hours” in April and “Next 2 U” on May 31st and these songs will serve as the album’s promotional singles. Kehlani took to her Instagram account to reveal the cover art and tracklist for her upcoming fourth studio album on Friday afternoon. The project has 13 tracks including features from Jill Scott, Young Miko and Omah Lay. The album is set to be released on June 21.

Tems’ “Me & U” sells over 500,000 units in the United States.

Since her global acclaim with Wizkid’s “Essence”, Tems has been one of the biggest international stars pushing Nigerian music on the global stage. Being one of the most streamed stars, she has received a plethora of global awards and certifications. Coupled with the success of her new album, “Born in the Wild”, her hit single, “Me & U” has sold over 500,000 units in the United States and is now eligible for a RIAA gold certification. This will be her sixth certification in the region, making her the only Nigerian female artist with multiple certifications.

SZA receives the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame gala.

Global star, SZA has added another accolade to her highly awarded hat. On Thursday, the RnB singer received the acclaimed Hal David Starlight Award at the 2024 songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala for her influence on the music industry through original songwriting. Expressing her gratitude during her acceptance speech, SZA revealed that the award basically validates every aspect of her career. She said, “I’m beyond all of my wildest dreams… I’m just so grateful. Thank you for seeing me.” She joins Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Post Malone and Lil Nas X as a fellow honouree of the prestigious award.

The “Bad Boys” franchise surpasses $1 billion total box office revenue.

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s movie franchise, “Bad Boys” has been one of the most successful action comedies in cinema history. With the opening week success of the newly released “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” which garnered over $100 million first week revenues in the global box office, the franchise has now surpassed the $1 billion worldwide box office milestone. The success of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” in the cinemas have provided a much-needed hope for theatre investors, after beliefs that the cinema culture is dead.

Drake has been confirmed to be releasing a new single very soon.

After bowing out of perhaps one of the greatest hip hop feuds of all times, Drake went on a feature run, collaborating on Sexyy Red’s “U My Everything” and the remix of Snowd4y’s “Wah Gwan Delilah”. He received a lot of criticism from hip hop fans and critics. The Canadian rapper is now set to release his first official single since the beef with Kendrick Lamar. Popular streamer, DJ Akademiks confirmed this via his X account. However, fans are hopeful that Drake will move away from his recent pop vibes and showcase hardcore rap on this new record.
