British actor, Cillian Murphy has had such a beautiful run over the last years, with the releases of “Peaky Blinders (Season 5)” and the record-breaking Christopher Nolan directed “Oppenheimer”. He is however set to feature in new movie, “Small Things Be Like This” which is directed by star duo, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The movie entails a devoted father who discovers huge secrets kept in town’s convent in December 1985, as well as some personal shocking truths. The movie is set to premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival on February 15th, 2024.

Wizkid’s “Essence” with Tems sells 4 million copies in America.

Wizkid’s global record, “Essence” remains one of the songs that set the trajectory of African music dominating the global market. Prime Video cuts investment across the African Streaming market.

Popular streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video which entered the African market in 2016 has failed to fully stamp its feet as the biggest competitor of Netflix and other local digital streaming services in the African terrains. It is now reportedly set to cut short its investments across Africa, in a restructuring scheme that will see the platform focus solely on European originals. As a result, the company has not only cut content but also staffs across Africa and the Middle East. This is without a question, a huge blow for African film industry.
