Tory Lanez reveals he will be dropping new music from prison.
Canadian singer and rapper Tory Lanez is continuing to connect with his fans by releasing new music from prison. Currently serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, Lanez has been dropping tracks he recorded years ago throughout July. However, he recently announced that he’s found a way to record high-quality music from behind bars and is planning to release new material with renewed energy. In a prison phone call update, Lanez introduced the “Free Tory Playlist,” a project where he’ll release new songs weekly. Unlike the previous “Lost Tapes,” which featured older, unreleased tracks, this series will include freshly recorded music made during his incarceration. Lanez and his engineer have overcome various obstacles to produce studio-quality tracks from prison.
