Sequel of popular Nigerian movie franchise, “Issakaba” set to be continued.
Acclaimed Nigerian crime drama, “Issakaba” which was popular in the early 2000s is set to be continued after 23 years. The four-part movie premiered at a time of heightened crime rate and when vigilantes were the main substitutes for the judiciary in the eastern parts of Nigeria. The lead actor of the highly coveted franchise, Sam Dede has just confirmed that “Issakaba” will be continued and will be directed by the popular Lancelot Imasuen.

King Sunny Ade receives honorary award at the Afrobeats Pre-Grammy Award party.
Ahead of the highly coveted 66th Grammy awards, Heineken put together an Afrobeats Pre-Grammy award event to celebrate the global success of the Afrobeat genre. Every year, Afrobeats stars continue to properly push the culture across global limits and a host of Nigerian artists including Burna Boy, Davido, Tems, Asake and Ayra Starr have all clinched nominations at this year’s Grammys ceremony. At the Pre-Grammy award event, legend of Nigerian music, King Sunny Ade was was presented with an honorary award for being the first Nigerian artist to clinch a Grammy award for his original work.

Demands for “Dune 2” tickets reportedly crashes AMC’s website and app.
Ahead of Marvel’s “Dune 2” release, the film is being predicted to break the box office. According to reports, the tickets for the much anticipated movie which is set to drop on March 1, went on sale on Friday and crashed AMC’s websites and app. Users were reportedly getting error messages when trying to get the tickets via the app and website. Fans are unsure whether it is a result of too many demands or just AMC’s website being erratic.
