Jadon Sancho might be on his way out of Manchester United after his recent rift with Eric ten Hag. The English forward was signed from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million in 2021 and although this transfer came with huge promises, Sancho has failed to live up to the expectations. Refusing to apologize for publicly calling out the manager on social media, Manchester United might be forced to move on from the winger who has now been suspended from the first team. New reports however are indicating that Barcelona might join the race to land the forward over the next summer.

Andrey Rublev beats Dimitrov to qualify for Masters 1000 finals.
In a very close semi-final clash, fifth-seeded Andrey Rublev has defeated Grigor Dimitrov at the Rolex Shanghai Masters to qualify for the finals. In a huge physical face off, Rublev won 7-6(6), 6-3 to secure his fourth Masters 1000 final against Hubert Hurkacz in China. Reflecting on what the win against his friend meant, Rublev said it was an uneasy mix of feeling — where he is happy for his win but also very sad for his friend’s loss.

Cristiano Ronaldo brace sends Portugal to Euro 2024 qualification.
Portugal have once again qualified for next year’s Euro competition which is scheduled to be held in Germany. In a fierce battle against Slovakia, goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonçalo Ramos were enough to secure a 3-2 win for Portugal. With the brace, Ronaldo has now extended his record as the player with the most international goals at 125. Winning all seven games played in the Euro qualifiers, Portugal conceded for the first time against Slovakia. They will be looking to replicate this form in the competition with hopes of winning the Euro cup again.
Nigeria extends woeful friendly streak as they fail to beat Saudi Arabia.
Despite putting together a star-studded team, Nigeria was unable to defeat Saudi Arabia. With a total of fifteen shots and five on target, Nigeria looked to be dominating the game just well until the last minute free kick goal from Saudi Arabian midfielder, Mohamed Kanno. This 2-2 draw extends Nigeria woes in friendly games. They have not won a friendly game since March 2019, losing eight games and drawing seven in their last fifteen friendly games.
