The 5 time Balon d’Or winner who moved to Saudi Arabia from Manchester United in January added to his goal tally yesterday in the 1-1 draw that saw Al Nassr qualify for the Arab Club Champions Cup quarterfinals, extending his goals to 840.

Nigeria Basketball team releases 15-man roaster for Olympics pre-qualifiers.
With preparations in place for the 2024 Summer Olympics, Nigeria’s Basketball Federation has released a 15-man roaster for its pre-qualifying tournament which has been scheduled to host here in Nigeria. The team includes Chimezie Metu, who is the current captain of the team, Daniel Utomi, Victor Ezeh and Micheal Okiki. Ogoh Odaudu, the team’s coach has stated that the men are well prepared to go dominate the tournament and Nigerians will be hoping for a successful tournament.

Nigeria D’Tigress secures Afrobasket finals with Rwanda win.
Nigeria National Women’s Basketball team has shown a great deal of improvement in the current Afrobasket tournament. With a 31 point blowout win over host country, Rwanda, D’Tigress continued its dominating streak as they qualify for the tournament’s final. This makes it the team’s fourth consecutive Afrobasket finals and their sixth in the history of the tournament. They will now face 11 times Champions, Senegal, who defeated Mali in a tight 75-65 battle.
