New trailer for The Last of Us Season 2 unveiled ahead of its April 13 premiere.
HBO unveiled the trailer for Season 2 of The Last of Us at SXSW during a panel featuring the cast and creators. The preview hints at a darker tone, with Ellie (Bella Ramsey) navigating abandoned buildings, tense moments with Joel, and a snowy settlement under attack by a zombie horde. The trailer teases new dynamics, including Ellie’s relationship with Dina and her partnership with Jesse (Young Mazino), while showcasing more monsters, violence, and fire. The highly anticipated A Quiet Place 3 reportedly still in development.
Five years after its initial announcement, A Quiet Place 3 is in development, though delays have persisted due to director John Krasinski’s busy schedule. The acclaimed horror franchise, known for its near-silent storytelling where sound equals danger, has grown into a cultural phenomenon since its 2018 debut, spawning a sequel, a 2024 prequel (A Quiet Place: Day One), and various spin-offs like video games and theme park attractions. Producer Brad Fuller confirmed at SXSW that A Quiet Place 3 is moving forward, but Krasinski’s commitments, including his current project based on Jack Ryan, have slowed progress. Fuller emphasized that the prequel is separate from the third film, which aims to conclude the trilogy. Paramount Pictures greenlit the project in 2022, initially targeting a 2025 release, but the focus shifted to the prequel, directed by Michael Sarnoski. Fans remain hopeful for the trilogy’s completion and potential future instalments.
