Chelsea reaches agreement with Enzo Maresca to become new head coach.
One week after sacking Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea has agreed to appoint Italian manager, Enzo Maresca as the club’s new head coach. The London club has offered him a five-year deal valid until June 2029 with an option to extend until 2030. Maresca, who served as Pep Guardiola’s assistant manager, won the Championship with Leicester City in his first managerial spell, ending the season with 97 points to send the Foxes back to the Premier League. Chelsea will need to agree a compensation fee of around €10 million with Leicester City.
