The governments of Angola and Nigeria are set to strengthen their relationship within the Aviation sector. Both countries will enhance their air connectivity while exploring new business opportunities. This development follows a recent visit by the Angolan Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency José Bamoquina Zau, and his deputy, Nelson Paulo Kafikiri, to Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, at his office in Abuja. During the meeting, Ambassador Zau emphasised the progress achieved in Angola’s aviation industry, stressing recent enhancements in the nation’s airport facilities.
A significant milestone mentioned was the soon-to-be-opened airport in the country, which is anticipated to act as a key centre for Air Travel within the region. The ambassador expressed confidence that the new facility would enhance air traffic and promote regional economic development. He stated that the airport’s grand opening is scheduled for the coming month, highlighting their determination to establish a presence in the aviation sector in Africa.
